Don Hardesty has published on men's boardinghouses as part of mining towns
in the West - He had a special issue in historical Archaeology around 1988,
a chapter in Elizabeth's Scott's edited volume Those of Little Note (U.Ariz
Press), a chapter in a volume entitled The Archaeology and preservation of
Gendered Landscapes, edited by Sherene Baugher and me, and other book
chapters - our volume is mostly on google books and you can find some other
books he contributed chapters to there also.

suzanne
