In the field of genomics, one finds parallels in all organisms. The genetic component that creates resistance in bacteria would be expected to have analogues in fungi. It would be surprising if it didn't. The development of resistance to antibiotics in bacteria is an example of something that organisms do over time: they evolve. Those that don't, go extinct.
