Hi all
I found stats for fumagillin use in Europe.
EU: on the market since 1970.
- No MRL fixed in EU Regulation 37/2010 : no marketing authorization and the use is not permitted
[By way of explanation, the manufacturers could have applied for MRL standards to be set, but did not. Therefore, with no residue limit set, the substance is not permitted.]
- Nevertheless authorized in UK as product in syrup
[this was rescinded in 2011]

[Bees imported into UK were tested for Nosema. In 2009 UK imported more than 5,000 queens from Australia, Hawaii and NZ. 60% had nosema.]
- Following the arrival of the small hive beetle in 2010, bees are no longer permitted to be imported into the EU from Hawaii.
