How about "Documentary insights into the archaeology of smuggling" by Peter R. Schmidt and Stephen R. Mrozowski? It was in "Documentary Archaeology in the New World", edited by Mary C. Beaudry, from Cambridge University Press. Always liked that article...

I'm looking for an article or a series of articles I read a couple years back, which discussed archaeological evidence for smuggling (not smuggling of artifacts).
Any thoughts?
