Good day all,
As has been discussed, besides pesticides, many other factors are affecting
our bees.
Beekeepers large and small have one thing in common and that is the amount
of labour that goes into properly maintaining a box of bees, if I can put
it simply.
Hobbyists and Sideliners recognize the amount of time / labour that goes
into the job.
When hundreds to thousands of hives have to be maintained ,do the large
guys have the labour force to do that proper maintenance?
So what's the reasonable manpower to hive ratio to do things properly and
is it happening or have a lot of the losses been due to not being able to
pay for the necessary manpower ?
