Looks like a glass cannon "barrel" (dont know the term)...so, a toy, I would imagine (possibly filled with candy).
The nubs sticking out would be the trunnions...where it pivots.  ??

This brought up a memory of a bottle I saw somewhere once before, but 
can't remember where. It was a Whiskey bottle like this one:
