Folks,

I just wanted to announce that my book, An Archaeology of Asian
Transnationalism, was recently released as a co-publication between the
University Press of Florida and the SHA. It is a comparative study of the
material lives and consumer habits of Chinese and Japanese immigrants at an
industrial salmon cannery in British Columbia, using an interpretive
approach rooted in transnationalism and diaspora.

Details are here:

I suspect the book is also available through the usual booksellers and at
the UPF table at the SHAs in the new year.

A shameless plug, no doubt, but I wanted to make sure people in the West
for whom it will be most relevant know about it. Thanks so much,

Doug Ross
