Hi Pete,
I read your work. Thank you for it.
I live in South East Missouri. Shannon County. Between Eminence and Winona. I'm the last privately owned 40 acres past the end of a gravel county road, surrounded by Mark Twain National Forrest. There are roadside wild flowers and power line right of ways. The forage is good enough that my bees ignore the abundant white clover. I started with three nucs from Tim Moore (Honey Hive Farms ) in North St Louis County. They are Italian. Two are better than the other. What over-winters will be fed and split. I have wooden ware for eleven hives, two deeps and a shallow. I will order more.
