On March 20, 2012, EPA received a citizen petition asking it to suspend registrations for the
insecticide clothianidin, among other demands. The petition and numerous supplemental
submissions of research reports and opinions are posted in the regulatory docket on the Internet at
http://www.regulations.gov. EPA responded in part to the petition on July 17, 2012. EPA denied
the request to suspend registrations "to prevent imminent harm" because the petitioners did not
meet the burden of proof for registration suspension.
