HONEY prices are the toughest issue facing the region's apiarists, says Ray
Clarke, chairman of the Warwick branch of the Queensland Beekeepers
Association.
Most beekeepers needed a minimum of $3.50 a kilogram to break even, but the
honey market was struggling thanks to a high Australian dollar, imported
honey and a large domestic supply.
