Hello HISTARCH ceramics analysts,

The San Diego Presidio ceramics assemblage includes several examples of Neo
Classical Chinese Export Porcelains, exhibiting simple linear banded rims
(dating roughly from 1765-1810), described and pictured by Madsen and White,
referred to as:

Wavy Band
Husk Chain
Dogtooth
Thin Blue Bands with Stars
and
Half-Circle and Dot

The sites they have been found include Monticello, the Dr. Barraud site in
Williamsburg, and Hanover Square in New York City.
I'm sure others have found these as well.
I'd appreciate knowing of other archaeological contexts, PARTICULARLY those
in California and/or the western regions.

Thanks in advance,
S. Walter
