P.S. I'm a bit leery of the suggested 1960s date quoted below considering the condition of your artifacts and inklings in my Google search that similar objects may date back at least to the 1930s.

I believe you have pieces of a dragon-motif metal trinket box lid. Go to Google Images, type 'embossed dragon tin' and you will find an artifact with the same logos and a similar dragon design for sale at https://www.etsy.com/listing/243953702/cat-tin-bentleys-of-london-the-cat but it may take you some time to find that actual artifact on the etsy site. (I didn't have the patience to look through all of the images to find it.) However, I found another, described as " Vintage Copper Box Asian With Dragon Jewelry box Trinket Box . . . Vintage item from the 1960s," at https://www.etsy.com/listing/292355363/vintage-copper-box-asian-with-dragon?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=dragon%20tin&ref=sr_gallery_43

Subject: Artifact Identification
Does anyone know what this artifact is? It was found in a curation facility but does not have any context. It looks like a metal plate of some sort, which may have been mounted onto something. I think it might be zinc and there is gold paint on the back (which rubs off easily). There is a raised motif of two dragons and a set of Chinese characters. I am not sure what the characters translate to.
There is a link to the image in Dropbox at the bottom of this email.
Thanks!
