Bob if you can keep the RH below 50% the eggs of SHB do not hatch. So in
your case you should not have any problems. Your temperature is great for
SHB if the humidity gets up.
Here we extract within a day or so of bringing in. The other way is a cold
room but you need a hot room to warm up before extracting. For us the days
of bringing in supers of honey over several days and extracting in one go
are over unless you use humidity or low temperature controls.
We allow our honey to ripen on the hive before extracting.
