(ready for this------ zero mites in the randomly selected hives .
I found it pays off

When you treat for mites how do you know the Russian bee is helping?

My Russian bees were given no treatment for mites.

Are you ready for this?

The Russian bees always had a mite load and at times researchers might have said were over threshold.

None had a zero roll.

What I liked was the lack of PMS.
When Dr. Shiminuki selected queens in Russia one the reasons was bees which would tolerate a high varroa load without PMS showing up.

My concern for varroa/virus issues predates CCD.

Take away the PMS and varroa is not a big deal for bees.
