I have a hive that is throwing out pollen that has turned to hard plugs
plugs with mold on them. I found "A Bee-hive Fungus, Pericystis alvei by
Annie D. Betts but can not access the whole article. But by what I could
read I gather the hive has Pericystis alvei fungus in the pollen.

I assume this will clear up on it's own when the weather straightens
out? There was a fairly big pile of the plugs on the hive stand. I put a
photo here is any one wants to have a look.
