I agree with Bob H's observation that diesel fumes might contribute significantly to diminished hive strength upon arrival at almond yards.  Has anyone investigated possible bee kill in transit.  Should be readily visible as large amounts of dead bees either in the hives in unusual kill formations or piled on the flatbed of the trailers.  Has anyone tried diverting the diesel exhaust fumes via an attached flexible exhaust system to extend at or beyond the back end of the trailer?  Has anyone studied the air flow over the tractor and trailer while the vehicle is in transit?  QUESTIONS
