I had some success with spraying fluorescein dye solution over a garden at
a buddy's house, then later going to the hive with a UV "Wood's Lamp" (UV-A
black light) to look for glow in the dark bees. We were interested in
seeing if any of my bees were stopping by his place.

I had an add-on project I wanted to do to see how far bees could be let out
and make it back to the hive. Basically shake-and-bake some bees with the
dye and release them at various locations and check the hive later in the
evening to look for any glowing bees. It might be a fun project for some
students.
