Hello, I know this being a historic venue I am hoping to find someone with Pre History Lithic Identification skills
While working an 1870's farmstead in Genesee County MI last fall I surface collected what I believe are 2 grinding stones
From the site, anyone that would be willing to look at Jpegs of the stones if you could please contact me off list and I will send
the photos, the farmer while granting permission told me that points were located in 2 areas of his property with these being from
the area of the 1870 house
I am looking for verification and possible time period, another question I have is historical Oxen shoes, when did the horse come into play
For plowing and oxen fall out of favor as I may have some indications of an earlier Historic habitation of the site in a log cabin, not quite sure on that!
Thank you very much!
