SMM charges schools to attend.
For our fee based classes we go by economic need. Families who receive
public assistance have to show proof that they receive it and they pay only
15% of the fee.
Our reduced price admission for families and the Great Tix membership uses
public assistance as a barometer of need . Information about this program
is at http://www.smm.org/visitorinfo/tickets/Discounts.php
Do the schools know the percentage of children receiving reduced or free
lunch? Could you developed a tiered system using that as a barometer?
Do you like giving all the scholarships away on one day or could you set 2
dates to do it during the school year . How is the scholarship program
advertised to teachers. Maybe you need a special mailing to the schools you
most want to reach but call in too late.
