The University of Mississippi 2017 Field School will be held at the Carter Robinson site in Lee County, VA May 30-June 24th. Students can earn 6 credits while excavating a 14th century native house and looking for evidence of shell bead production in the beautiful mountains of southwestern Virginia, and learn basic archaeological field techniques (mapping, test unit & feature excavation, shovel testing).

Students receive instate tuition ($1900) and there is a fee for board, food, and supplies ($695).
