I had no idea New York was such an amusing place when I visited last year. Running a standard inspection system required recruiting eight beekeepers from the 1800 in NYS, and according to the press it was necessary to exclude current beekeepers on grounds otherwise they would rush forward delightedly to unnecessarily burn competitors' hives. One can only wonder how inspectors in other programs have missed this golden opportunity. :)
A pity Gilbert and Sullivan are no longer writing their operas. The Bee Inspector would be a worthy successor to The Mikado. :)
