Is it the grammar or meaning that you are worried about?
What you write looks like an extract from page 147 of Robert Chapman's
and Alison Wylie's 2016 book _Evidential Reasoning in Archaeology_.
"Conceptual schemes proposing a succession of prehistoric 'ages' were
founded on typologies that capture patterns of association among
artefacts found buried together (e.g. in burials and hoards . . .),
seriations that document the orderly succession of form and design
with classes of artefacts . . ., and the stratified deposition of this
material."
I would not quarrel with their meaning.
