Dear Colleague,

I hope you are doing well. I’m writing today to be sure you are aware of
the many opportunities for you to teach and/or research in Archaeology
through the Core Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program
<http://www.cies.org/program/core-fulbright-us-scholar-program>. Grants
vary in length from 2-12 months and many grants allow a ‘Flex’ option
wherein you can complete your project in shorter visits over consecutive
years.

Below are a few examples which may be of particular interest:

Ecuador Award 6490: Social Sciences, Humanities and Education
<http://catalog.cies.org/viewAward.aspx?n=6490&dc=EC>

Poland Award 6299: Distinguished Chair in Humanities and Social Sciences
<http://catalog.cies.org/viewAward.aspx?n=6299&dc=PL>

Jordan Award 6410: Cultural Preservation and Heritage
<http://catalog.cies.org/viewAward.aspx?n=6410&dc=JO>

Taiwan Award 6115: Arts, Education, Humanities, Professional Fields, and
Social Sciences <http://catalog.cies.org/viewAward.aspx?n=6115&dc=TW>

The 2016-2017 U.S. Fulbright Scholar Catalog of Awards
<http://catalog.cies.org/> is a searchable listing of all the awards
available in the current competition; there are sure to be many more
opportunities to explore! Once you have identified an award to apply for,
the application guidelines <http://www.cies.org/application-guidelines>
should illuminate the next steps in the process. Applicants must be *U.S.
citizens with a PhD or terminal degree* and teaching experience as
designated by the award.

I suggest starting an application soon
<http://www.cies.org/application-login>, the deadline is *August 3, 2015*
for awards in the 2016-2017 academic year. Please be in touch after you
have had a chance to look over this information. You are welcome to contact
me with any questions throughout the application process.

Best,
Caitlin
