Thank you all for the responses and links provided. For those interested I have received a suggestion off list indicating that the sherd may be Royal Doulton stoneware, so I will be following up that possibility; as well as looking more into Rockingham glaze.

 Looks like a Rockingham glaze on a yellowware paste, and that is consistent with the dates for those deposits.
