<<True, though I understand not all bumble bees are guilty.  Short tongued bumble bees are the problem - bombus terrestris here locally I think mainly. > 
 
That is correct, at least here in the PNW where our medium-tongue-length species (mostly Bombus mixtus and B. melanopygus where I live) do an excellent job in our blueberry patch.
