Dear Histarch - In 2015, archaeologists working along Old Town Alexandria's waterfront discovered a scuttled 18th-century merchant ship. That 50-foot long hull section is now undergoing conservation at Texas A&M University's Conservation Research Lab and will be put on exhibit when it returns to the city. The Alexandria ship needs your help! It is among 10 objects competing in the Virginia Association of Museums’ Top 10 EndangeredArtifacts Competition. Vote ship today and EVERYDAY through January 24th http://wshe.es/ndmWS1YF. Conservation grants will be awarded to artifacts receiving the most votes. A vote for the ship is a vote for historical archaeology! Thank you for your support, Eleanor
