Hi Zada,

Thanks for these sources. As I have mentioned to others off list, we are really looking for examples of the archaeology of CCC camps rather than examples of archaeology done by the CCC or WPA.

Best,

Rob

Lyon's (1996) book *A New Deal for Southeastern Archaeology* discusses the early William S. Webb CCC/WPA projects. Also Pritchard's (2009) edited volume *TVA Archaeology discusses* TVA/CCC projects in the southeast, including Webb's surveys. Webb's survey of Jonathan Creek is one of the most famous. I believe Sissel Schroeder also wrote a book about Webb, the CCC and Jonathan Creek.

Kentucky has lots of CCC material published on small scale/gray lit.

Pollack and Powells' edited *New Deal Archaeology* published by the Kentucky Heritage Council is one:

http://heritage.ky.gov/kas/pubsvids/archpubs.htm

Some of the Kentucky projects are also discussed in Kentucky's State Plan, called T*he Archaeology of Kentucky: An Update* (download PDF on righthand

corner): http://heritage.ky.gov/siteprotect/archofky.htm Might be useful to mine the bibliography.

There's so much more published in the Southeast, but that's all I can think of on the fly. Maybe other folks can chime in!

Best, Zada
