Folks,
Archaeologists from Western Michigan University have been investigating
the submerged remains of Fort St. Joseph, an 18th century site located in
Niles, Michigan. It was an important Great Lakes outpost during the French
and British struggle for empire in North America. Unlike other
archaeological sites featured on the MUA, archaeologists working at the
fort use pumps to drain off the surface water in order to excavate. You
