I agree, Juanse.  What if we could engineer nitrogen fixation bacteria
symbiosis into grains.  The amount of nitrogen fertilizer (and thus energy
and resulting CO2) that we could save is SO HUGE that really we can not
just turn our back on that type of technology.  But we have to take back
that technology into the free and public domain.  It is corporate ownership
of that technology that is scary.
