Hi Tabitha,
One nice way to support photosynthesis is to let students investigate stomata on leaves, so that they understand how the gasses get in/out of leaves. We have this simple stomata printing activity: http://www.calacademy.org/teachers/resources/lessons/stomata-printing-microscope-investigation/
Kind regards,
Renny

Hi Tabitha,
A simple photosynthesis activity might be ready done with leaf punch outs, a carbonated solution and light. photosynthesis with leaf discs . It's very easy to do after a bit of fussing around with the protocol. Students might even do some comparative rate measurements, and it pretty much always works.
