ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Yes--I heard that from the Great Lakes Science Center--they use it for
school but are struggling to integrate it into the public museum
experience. Museum of Science and Industry struggled for years but now they
have a rhythm. It's mostly sign-up programs of longer duration and also
regular repeat visits as part of some after school programming.

The advantage of standardizing the equipment is that all the Fab Labs can
develop and share program curriculum internationally without worrying about
whether the other labs will have the same resources. Sort of an open-source
maker space.
