ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

The National Council of Science Museums is putting together a set of
Innovation Centers...first one just launched in Kolkata at BITM. It's a 3
stage approach...1st stage is taking simple machines apart (kitchen
appliances, small motors, computers). Second stage is putting simply
machines together and tinkering. 3rd stage requires more formal
support..learning programming languages, developing inventions students
come up with. Will be worth watching how this unfolds...

*One of the most powerful ideas underlying science is that a small number
of simple laws guide the behavior of the natural world. If this is true,
why is science not taught that way in our schools?*
