Every European country has its own regulations.
In France only amitraze and Apivarlife (thymol?) are licensed for use. However, there is a European Directive for organic beekeeping, “(d) the use of allopathic chemically synthesised medicinal products for preventive treatments is prohibited;
(e) without prejudice to the principle in (a) above formic acid, lactic acid, acetic acid and oxalic acid and the following substances: menthol, thymol, eucalyptol or camphor can be used in cases of infestation with Varroa jacobsoni”.
The Directives take precedence over national legislation.
I use formic acid at 65% mixed with HoneyBhealthy.
