I just finished reading Bad Beekeeping by Ron Miksha. It's an interesting book and I'm familiar with the author's relatives in Florida.
Considering I was born in the early 80's, I hadn't realized what a dramatic effect closing the border to package and queen imports has had on Canadian beekeeping industry .
It seems obvious that both sides of the border could benefit from an open border for bees, and Canada has the potential to become a leading honey producer in the world.
I'm just curious what the current status of this issue is, and if there has been any recent political progress on this issue.
Thanks
Aaron
