I had a scale hive and also watched my bees. On windy days, the bees
simply stayed home.
As for situations where the wind comes up suddenly, I am sure some bees
are caught out, but bees do seem to have weather prediction capabilities
and often return home and stay before we can see anything coming.
Of interest, particularly to those who fly, I was driving home yesterday and
suddenly was jerked sideways a foot or two, then continued as ever.
I saw nothing, but I assume I passed thru a microburst. Glad I was on
four wheels not a motorcycle. (I notice Hack has the sense to drive tricycle).
