Hello:
I need some advice about camp legalities. Specifically medication and medical release forms.
1. In terms of medicines, do you keep meds for campers and give them to them at a specific time/ Do you ABSOLUTELY not accept meds form parents that you have to administer? IS it OK if the camper keeps the meds on their person and takes them on their own? Do these policies stay the same for Epi-Pens and/or inhalers?
2. Medical Release Forms. Will you allow a camper to attend camp if you do not have the MRF on file? How long do you keep MRF's as "active/' If they attended spring break camps do they have to resubmit for Summer?
3. is there a website that gives a state by state code for these types of questions?
4. Because we are a non-profit how does that differ in terms of liability or rules we may or may not have to follow vs. other places that offer camps?
Thanks, Kathy
