>>> don't we sell ourselves as the secret to marketing? We don't sell the
steak, we sell the sizzle. Like fine wine, good honey ought to have a
story where the consumer connects to our product.
My label emphasizes my honey as being a local product; i.e. produced and packaged in "My" County. Plus, I have found that one location produces a honey with a superior palatability for which my customers can discern and will pay an extra amount. My label is very distinctive from the labels others use on their products and can easily be picked out if mixed with the products of other suppliers. The label emphasizes a rural and regressive theme. It also recycles paper material that normally is thrown away. I am purposely vague because I like my label presentation with the product and have no wish to see it widely emulated. And, it might not be if the label presentation were known. I'm just a little vain with my label, I admit it. LOL
