Dee...change truckers!  There are plenty who move barrels without putting
them on pallets.  On the other hand, some put three on a pallet, and some
four.  As long as they are shrink wrapped well, they are plenty stable.

reply;
Well, I could only work with shipper buyer wanted, and not good in the way the barrels were roughhoused once I put on truck with forklift.....just unreal to watch... for the trucker guy broke 3 barrel movers hustling/slamming things around, and refused to tie/strap anybarrel into place prior to driving off........and I called office in Tucson and let them know that too! and yet this was a well known shipping outfit USA wide..............

Anyway, thanks all for replies..........nice to know some still see it as it should be for loading individually, but this wanting pallet stuff dunno, especially then seeing how the barrels worked/loaDED.............for inter state movement..............sure makes one wonder where our industry is headed for sales in future.
