Dallas is being aerial sprayed with Aqualuer 20-20. Active ingredients are: Permethrin 20.6%; Piperonyl Butoxide Technical 20.6%; and, Inert Ingredients 58.8%. ULV application rate is up to 0.007 lbs. a.i. per acre. The label allows blooming crops and weeds to be sprayed while bees are visiting the treatment area to prevent or control a threat to public and/or animal health determined by state or local health on the basis of documented evidence of disease causing agents in vector mosquitoes or the occurrence of mosquito-borne disease in animal or human populations.
The public was notified four days prior to starting aerial spray treatments; thus, beekeepers had four days to remove their bees from the areas which were programmed for aerial spray.
