Here in Southern Ontario goldenrod is also noticeable in the fields.
It normally doesn't bloom until the middle of August. The nectar
flow doesn't begin, normally, until the middle of September however.
I understand that the early varieties produce little nectar but only
the later ones produce surplus honey and beeyard odour.
