Hello,

I am looking to create a bibliography of work done on former Kern County Land Company properties. The Kern County Land Company operated about 1.1 million acres of agricultural land across the American West in California, Oregon, New Mexico, and Arizona between 1890 and 1960. Ranches in Arizona were run by the Boquillas Cattle Company or the Victorio Land and Cattle Company (who also operated in New Mexico). In Oregon the subsidy cattle company was the Chewacan Land and Cattle Company. They had oil subsidies in the United States and Australia. Finally, in the final years of the corporation they expanded to manufacturing.

I would be more than happy to pass on the bibliography once compiles to any contributor who may be interested. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Yours,
Melonie Shier
