Hi everyone, I'd like to second Tim's call for disaster planning. I
organize a group called Savannah Heritage Emergency Response (SHER).
It includes museums, archives, historic sites, etc, and we work with
our local first responders and county emergency management agency to
do planning and mitigation. We have lots of resources for disaster
planning and prep on our website: http://sheronline.info. I also
encourage you to look for local and state groups like ours to get
involved and protect yourself.

If you have corresponded with Carl in the past on research issues, please consider dropping him a line about his professional needs. Particularly if he has sent you a copy or scan of a rare publication or report that you needed.

Fires, floods, and other incidents can destroy a lifetime of archaeological research in a blink of an eye.
