complete with hook

Back marked Jones .E . Cork Hill Button , Dublin.  Front of the button
has a centered Crown

With  Aid. De Camp  semi circled on the top(assuming Military)

The context of where this was located is known as Knaggs Bridge area, on
the Shiawassee river

With the  land owners permission.
