As in the US, in Europe, like minded folks get together.  After Dave  and
Dave visited France and after the film was made, we presented some of our
work at the US National Entomological Society meeting, along with other
researchers working on bee problems in the US.  A contigent of beekeepers  from
France came over just to hear the presentations, including representatives
from their National Beekeeping Association.  Their comment to us was more  or
less  -  'we banned the neonics and nothing improved.  It must  be
something else'.

Also, in 2006-2007, we traced CCD (or bee colony depopulation if you wish)
from one east coast beekeeping operation to another, and from those
operations to WI, GA, PA, and CA, with another cluster involving Dakota and MN
beekeepers.  In other words, all of the affected 'first reporter's  exchanged
bees or worked together where bees were transported together on common
trucks, honey extracted in shared facilities, etc.

Many of these beekeepers continue to have problems.  The most vocal,  if
they didn't know each other before, got together at meetings, etc. to compare
notes, and then they began exchanging bees -- I lost most of my bees this
year,  can you provide any to help me meet my contracts and/or replace my
losses?
