Thanks Peter.  In California, we must treat at substantially higher
temperatures, and can experience serious brood kill in some colonies with
only 6 g.

Could you please elaborate on the type of hive configuration that you are
referring to?  Is there typically a honey band above the brood, but below
the thymol?
