I've made my own protein patties this summer using soy flour + brewer's
yeast + water + sugar + lemon juice + vegetable oil.

The bees like the patties and eat most of them readily. But, by the time
I've returned a week later, a greenish blue mold has formed on the remnants
of the patties that lay against the tops of the frames.

I've reduced the liquid, but that doesn't seem to help. I've added more
lemon juice; and that didn't make a difference.

What do you suggest adding to stop the mold?

Much thanks in advance,
Alison Esptein
