"Famous last words"

Is a common saying among commercial beekeepers.

hate to see you on the evening news Joe.
I have observed AHB and you do not want several thousand bees in your face.

Better safe than sorry and with many hobby beekeepers on the list we need to
promote safe practices.

>Weather calls for 2 more nice days,
so swarming will continue I hope.

Hobby beekeeping is really getting popular! Our beginning beekeeper classes
are being overbooked.
Which is wonderful but swarming goes with first time beekeepers.

Quote from the "vanishing of the Bees"

"We need 60,000 beekeepers with a single hive of bees not one beekeeper with
60,000 hives"

I say the future of beekeeping depends on those 60,000 hobby beekeepers but
the U.S. pollination depends on the slowly disappearing commercial
beekeepers. Most of the hired seasonal help in commercial beekeeping comes
from other countries. Quite a bit of paperwork and hoops to jump through to
get those experienced beekeepers.

Constant splitting of hives has kept the industry going but increases costs.
