When I was a boy seventy-odd years ago our little farm dairy was shut out of 
the business of supplying milk to the local grocery stores and residents 
because it was "raw" milk.  Dad couldn't afford to pasteurize, so we went to 
selling in bulk to the creamery in Baton Rouge which took  over our previous 
local business.  Progress, I suppose.  It pushed me into the wartime navy, 
since I didn't have to deliver milk any more.  The invisible hand of 
economics.
