Wonderful idea for a murder mystery. I would read that for sure. I heard that one very early on in my beekeeping years, but decided bananas were too near to my heart to give up. Bananas have been a staple in my lunches for years in the bee yard, with no incidents to speak of. Have yet to be able to incite a sting with a banana peel placed at the front of a hive. Having said that I have seen a demo with synthetic isopentyl acetate on a leather patch used to incite stinging, and lots of it.
