Hi everyone,
My name is Rich Veit and I am a Ph.D. student at the University of
Pennsylvania. I have an MA from William and Mary in Anthropology with
specialization in historical archaeology. I am also active in historical
archaeology in New Jersey and surrounding states. My primary interests
are historic material culture, gravestone studies-particularly the
examination of tradeworks through gravemarkers, and the traces of
ethnicity in the archaeological record. If anyone out there has
information on 17th-century sites in New Jersey, the following
18th-century gravestone carvers, especially outside the state: Ebenezer
Price, Johnathan Hand Osborne, and John Solomon Teetzel please let me
know. Also I am doing a project on late-19th-century terra-cotta
gravemarkers and welcome more information. Nice meeting all of you. I
think this is a great resource. Rich Veit
